Our Mission

Through communal worship, personal prayer, study, and service, parishioners of St. Mary Church seek to make known the transforming power of the Gospel as embodied in the ancient and apostolic Orthodox Christian Faith.  We are a diverse community called by God to gather in Chambersburg but reaching much farther in inviting people of all backgrounds to worship the Triune God.  Together we come to the Father through the Son in the Holy Spirit, experiencing the healing and restoration of salvation. Bearing witness to the Kingdom of God already present among us and yet to come, we strive to grow especially through participation in our shared sacramental and liturgical life.   We affirm that Christ is in our midst and seek to make his presence known through self-sacrificial service to one another within our parish community and in the larger community in which we live.
